Air1 AdBlue
Yara International ASA, the company behind Air1®, is the world’s leader in nitrogen-based applications for industrial and agricultural clients. It has a diverse workforce of over 8,000 persons and a local presence in 50 countries worldwide.
As the first AdBlue app of its kind, it allows operators to find more than 2000 retail outlets selling AdBlue near or along their route. The app allows users to search by city, street, or zip code and picks up a driver’s location via GPS and then calculates the distance to the nearest AdBlue retail outlet. It also displays the address and maps the location of various retail outlets selling AdBlue. The app also uses localization information to display the information in the correct langugae of the user be it spanish, italian or dutch.
The app itself connects through to Yara's data server to ensure the latest and up to date information is retrieved when users are searching for AdBlue outlets. We provided the web services to communicate with the app and also developed a fully customised Content Management System to enable Yara to maintain the application data.
The Air1 AdBlue Mobile Locator is currently available for free download in the iTunes app store for use on the iPhone, iTouch, and iPad. The android version is set for release in September 2011.
