Yara TankMix
Yara International is a global firm specializing in agricultural products and environmental protection agents. As the world’s largest supplier of mineral fertilizers, Yara helps provide food and renewable energy for a growing world population
Yara required a mobile application which mirrored the functionality of their Tankmix website. The website allows users to query the mixability of Yara products with many plant protection products. The website currently holds over 40,000 physical tank mix test results.
The iPhone application took around 4 weeks to develop. Upon launch, the app connects through to Yara's data server to ensure the latest and up to date information. Users then choose the Yara product they are interested in and then it enables searching for a Pesticide by trade name or by active ingredient. This displays all the results of the physical mixability tests carried out by Yara's labotary.
The iPhone application provided Yara with a powerful advantage over other competitors in the market as it enabled its users to immediately make better judgements on the suitability of spray mixtures.
