Yorkshire Based Web Development Case Study - York College Advanced Web Design - City & Guilds Training
Brief
York College approached one of GotFocus Solutions developers to provide evening
classes teaching advanced web design which fulfils modules for a City & Guilds
certification. This module is provided over a 30-hour period and is taught three
times yearly.
Since the commission of this the College has since asked GotFocus to provide seminars
on the Microsoft .NET Framework and is also considering another class in Object
Orientated Programming.
GotFocus Solutions delivered the following from our Yorkshire based development team
The Advanced Web Design course teaches students how to build standards-based websites.
The site is built entirely to
W3C
standards for accessibility,
CSS
and
XHTML.
Tutorials & Lessons
We lead tutorials and lessons for York College for classes of up
to twenty students.
Technology
The course is currently taught using Microsoft SQL Server Express and the Microsoft
.NET Framework utilising the Visual Web Developer Express IDE.
